| The shower is cold. Water taps a comforting melody around him. Matt follows each drop as it plunks on the plastic floor, splitting open. The scent of soap and chemicals surround him. It’s better than the blood. He can’t remember why he’s here. Matt goes out to patrol as daredevil and comes back injured. Injuries are a fact of life. He should heal, shake it off, get back to normal. It's not like this doesn't happen to other people. He can handle it. Except, he can't. The more he tries to push through, the more he ends up sinking. |
