| The whole ride back from the VA, Sam’s question echoes in his head. “What makes you happy?”... Even after coming out of the ice, Steve hasn't felt alive since 1945. Not since he watched Bucky fall off of that train. Finding out Bucky is still alive fills him with a new purpose, even if there's only a slim chance he can get Bucky back, he's willing to do whatever it takes or die trying. Life without Bucky isn't really living anyway, so he might as well give it his all. |
