| December rolls around, as it usually does every year, and Mr. and Mrs. Wheeler are still laid up in Hawkins Memorial Hospital, as they will be for a while—or so Nancy's been told. So it's up to her to look after Holly and Mike, if they'll let her, and deal with the doctors to sort out recovery plans, if they'll listen to her, and clean the house up from that total wreck of a night over a month and...>> a half ago when the world almost ended. And also maybe kind of try to make Christmas feel like anything resembling the stretched out shape of a holiday at all. Nancy has a lot on her plate. Probably could use something to take her mind off it all. And Steve's been Christmas shopping anyway, so he may as well look around. Just in case. |
