I found the prompt for this on the Dresden Files Kink Meme, but for the life of me I can't find it again, so hopefully whoever prompted it eventually finds this, and I hope they enjoy it, though it remains stubbornly unfinished. |

And John was the one who'd invited him out to dinner and therefore necessitated his trip to the boat anyway! So honestly, how could this possibly be blamed (in its entirety, at least) on him? |

| John had obviously managed to take care of himself just fine before he met me, and he had Cujo the Linebacker to take care of whatever he couldn't himself (though I got the impression that John was perfectly capable of handling most threats). I'd only known the man for a few hours and I'd apparently already dragged him into my friend circle whether he wanted to be there or not – all of that meant that it was my job to keep him safe. |

| John is, as far as anyone knows, dead, along with his right hand Nathan Hendricks, and as such, someone new has to take over. This new guy takes an immediate interest in Johnny's Wizard, and decides to take him for himself by way of a magical device retrieved from one of Harry's many enemies. Harry takes objection to this, of course, and with the help of his friends (who have been treating hi...>>m rather a lot like some depressed maiden recently, much to his chagrin) plots how to escape this hold, and, ultimately, discover the big plot behind his capture to begin with. Along the way, though, he also begins to discover emotions for someone that he didn't quite expect. |

| After being forced by Bob to make an aphrodisiac, Harry proceeds to spill said aphrodisiac all over Little Chicago, luckily not getting it inside any of the buildings, so only those outside were affected. He's planning on just hiding in his basement until the effects wear off at sunrise the next morning, but this becomes rapidly impossible as he first gets a phone call and then a series of visitors, the most notable of which is one Gentleman Johnny Marcone. And of course he just had to be outside. |

She suddenly has an entirely new understanding for everything that annoys Harry about Marcone, and wishes she didn't. Of course, she also wishes that there were a course in her training entitled "How to Deal with an Infatuated Mob Boss and All of His Temper Tantrums". She can't help but think that everything would be a lot easier if she hadn't discovered that Marcone was actually better for Harry than the woman. |

| How would things have been different if Harry and his compatriots had lived in the 20s instead of the modern era? Obviously they'd still get into apocalyptic situations way too often for any sane individuals, but how would the relationships between them change? Harry still has his PI business, but Murphy is his partner now since the force won't allow her to become an officer. They meet a young man...>> who has been possessed by a light-hating demon, and after going to a speakeasy to try and find some information about who summoned the demon, Harry meets a nice businessman named Milano who offers him some help. He takes it gratefully, but then he realizes that the kind Milano is actually notorious mob boss Gentleman Johnny Marcone and everything begins to change. |

Afterwards, he and Harry work out a contract that Harry will come to him whenever he's feeling that way to avoid the risk of something happening to him when he's vulnerable. Harry comes back sooner than he would've expected. |

| Written as a fill for this request on the Dresden Files Kinkememe: Marcone/Dresden. After passing by a certain shop, Harry got the idea to make a small doll of Marcone. One he could just shake whenever the real Marcone pissed him off. The doll is surprisingly well made, accurate, and cute. After shaking the doll, Harry can't help but hug it. Marcone finds out.
