I needed to find a new target, so headed through to the computer in the study.

I only had so much time to do this. I looked out at the window. It was drizzling down, although it looked like heavier rain had passed, and though it was still light it was only an hour or so until sunset. Why was the stupid computer being so slow? If anyone tried to call home, they'd find that the line was busy. I sat drumming my fingers as I waited for it to boot up, and then waited more as the modem made its dialling-up racket.
