По поводу дверных петель: Смотрите, какую штуку я нашел: ![]() Статья: Warwick Rodwell. Appearances can be Deceptive: Building and Decorating Anglo-Saxon Churches // Journal of the British Archaeological Association, 165:1, 22-60. But the Hadstock door, and a handful of others, are distinctly different: notably, the boards are held together not only by long strap-hinges but also by a series of horizontal half-round battens (D-section ledges) fixed to the inner face. A similar batten runs around the perimeter of the door, including the arched head. The battens are fixed with clench-nails and roves. The inner face of a door of Hadstock type is depicted on the Bayeux Tapestry (Fig. 17). Hewett was convinced that the Hadstock door was Anglo-Saxon, as indeed it almost certainly is in style. However, dendrochronological analysis has subsequently shown that it dates from the 1060s or 1070s, as predicted by Geddes. The large number of rings present on the boards demonstrates that the tree began its life in the 6th century. В общем, если петли не более поздние, то дверь с длинными железными петлями висит по меньшей мере с 9 века, а может, и с еще более давних времен. 1 |
