Greg was in an office with a huge window overlooking a rough, grey sea, somewhere far from London. There was a tall, dark-haired woman with him, sitting in a chair and staring at him as though he were some sort of laboratory specimen. Her eyes were the sort of cold you might expect from a reptile. Greg was handcuffed to a chair by his wrists and ankles, his mouth held shut with duct tape.
He suppressed a shiver. This, he thought, is not going to end well.
