Saving You, Saving Me

"If you want to save me, Draco Malfoy,” Hermione tells him very quietly and clearly, taking his hand and crossing the distance between them with a single step, “then you're going to have to save yourself too."

She pauses, squeezing his hand between hers so hard it hurts. “If you don’t apparate us, then we will be caught.” The distant sounds of alarm ring out, and Draco looks wildly at her, the truth on his face finally bleeding through his cool mask. “If you do that, we both die.”
