What if the chase went too well for Zuko and he makes it to the ruined village first? What if he listens to his demons and he interprets the task of getting back his honor as getting revenge instead of the Avatar? Here, in this abandoned village, he has to make a choice: Defect, accept his fate and move on to live a life outside the Fire Nation, or capture the Avatar.
