Petunia finds caring for two preschoolers too difficult and takes the opportunity to pass Harry off to other relatives. Being raised by intelligent, openminded and loving family does a lot to counteract the years of abuse at the hands of the Dursleys and it’s a very different Harry Potter who receives his Hogwarts letter when he turns eleven.
