“I miss you”
Gumpa’s eyes are softer than they should be allowed to be as he says the words, and Black wants to look away. Wants to shield himself from the emotions he feels welling up inside him as the words register in his head, but he can’t seem to look away. Can’t seem to tear his eyes away even as Gumpa stares back.
It’s hard to breathe as he hears Gumpa inhale shakily before he leans back on his hands. “I’ve been missing you for a while actually.”
Or: Black has issues. Gumpa makes it worse but better.
