Soothsaying Is Just Common Sense, but Knowing the Future Isn't So Easy (слэш)

You don't technically need precognitive powers to be a soothsayer. It's a great way to get people to pay you if you can swing it, and really doing it is just common sense and telling people what they already know. All the magical stones and coloured smoke and all that is just window dressing to distract from the fact that it's nothing special.
Until it is. Until you get a real vision. Until someone's life is in your hands. Until you're fighting something dark and you don't know what it is.
