Lady Lyra couldn't deny that she had been exposed to potential marriage discussions because she has. She knows her father has a plan — he always has one. What she has been commanded to do is to get close to Aemond and Daeron Targaryen — mainly Aemond. Her father really wanted her to be close to Aemond which wasn't a difficult thing to do. Lady Lyra had spent nearly her entire life within the walls of the Red Keep, where the Targaryens and the Velaryon boys had become like her own friends. Her father frequently sought updates on her knowledge of each of them, a demand that sometimes left her feeling frustrated. There were moments when she grew angry with her father for placing such demands on her, longing instead to spend time with Lucerys and Helaena.
At the end of the day, she couldn't expect anything less from her father. When your father is Larys Strong, life isn't exactly easy to navigate.
