North Piltover general is widely known as the best place to go for surgical care. They have state of the art technologies, new treatments, and top notch employees from all over the country to ensure the best care possible. Everything runs smoothly there.
That is, except, when Dr Caitlyn Kiramman and Dr Violet Lanes share an operating room.
The two women are in the home stretch as fifth year residents, but that doesn’t mean their rivalry has cooled down in the last half-decade. Caitlyn’s methodical and careful approach starkly contrasts Vi’s quick judgement and risky moves. Thankfully, their specialties are different enough to keep them at an arms length with a healthy space between them.
When they’re given an opportunity to work on a paralysis clinical trial, they jump at the opportunity. However, only one resident can be credited. They decide on a competition: whoever has the most points by the end of the month gets their name on the case study.
Caitlyn and Vi are neck and neck, pushing each other to their limits in the OR and beyond. The long hours spent together is the type of proximity that neither woman is used to. Slowly, surely, the space between them begins to close.
