I opened my eyes and found myself looking at the underside of a sarcophagus lid. The hieroglyphs called upon the great gods and the Immortal Settra to bring honor, peace, and everlasting glory to His Majesty, Kiaphas Khain, Hero of Nehekhara, as he traveled to the afterlife.
“Frak,” I said. The word came out in a puff of dust.
