AU after Age of Ultron
What if there were actual consequences for actions taken and laws broken by the Avengers? Post-ULTRON, an investigation is undertaken to find out the true cause and who is really to blame, if anyone. Apparently, and much to their own surprise, the Avengers are not, actually, exempt from the law and do need to explain themselves... Who would have thought?!

All in all, life was looking good post-ULTRON. Life was looking very good.
So of course that's when things started to go wrong for Steve and his Avengers.
