Tony said he would look into SHIELD and their shadiness, and boy has he found a lot... Loki has been busy since leaving Earth and dropping off Esben's testimony, and he has been trying to prepare the realms. Except Asgard -- he's leaving THAT hell hole for Thor.
Thor is having trouble reconciling the Asgard of his memories with the Asgard he has been learning to see through what happened to Loki and his own new perspective from his times on Earth. Steve Rogers is struggling still so soon after waking up in the future, being thrust into peace time so unexpectedly when he had fully intended to die going down with his plane.
***Works fairly well as a one-shot, mostly building on characterisations and backstories, not much in the way of action. I admit I forgot I had this until now, about 2 years later... Oops?
