In the aftermath of the war, the newly re-elected Cornelius Fudge is preparing to take measures to ensure his name goes down in history with all the heroes of the war, without any thought for the consequences. Harry, Ron, and Hermione have been trying for nearly a year to find some way to stop a ritual that will eradicate Dark Magic in Britain, and with it destroy magic altogether. They intend to stop it at any cost, even if that cost means Harry has to become the new Dark Lord. As time runs short, they finally stumble upon the answer to how to achieve both outcomes: Harry has to claim his title as Master of Death. How? The answer lies in the name.
