The whole ‘godfather’ thing had meant a lot to Sirius, and he would have never dreamed of saying no. This is unfortunate because ‘no’ was the correct response. To be more specific: ‘No, of course not, dear God, I am in no way equipped for even the mere possibility of parenthood’.
In which Sirius realizes he can't raise Harry on his own, so he turns to Remus so they can navigate parenthood, grief, and love together.
