Draco Malfoy Must Not Die (гет)

In the aftermath of Harry's death and Voldemort's subsequent victory, in a last-ditch attempt to save the future, Hermione goes back in time with one strict instruction:
Draco Malfoy must not die.
Kingsley maintained his silence, yet he looked deeply contemplative. He regarded Hermione, flicking his gaze momentarily to the stack of parchment before him. "And say we found a way to travel to the past, what would you do?"
That was the question. And she had an answer – a straightforward one, in theory. Although she wasn't sure how well her proposition would be perceived.
Snape eyed Kingsley warily. "She'd attempt to save Harry." He said, as if there wasn't a doubt in his mind. He took a sip of his tea and turned to Hermione for confirmation.
Technically he wasn't wrong, although the specifics were slightly askew. She raised her chin and, with the confidence she'd practiced in the mirror that morning, she answered.
"I'd save Draco Malfoy's life."
Snape choked on his tea.
