Kingsley maintained his silence, yet he looked deeply contemplative. He regarded Hermione, flicking his gaze momentarily to the stack of parchment before him. Although she wasn't sure how well her proposition would be perceived. Snape eyed Kingsley warily. "She'd attempt to save Harry." He said, as if there wasn't a doubt in his mind. He took a sip of his tea and turned to Hermione for confirmation. Technically he wasn't wrong, although the specifics were slightly askew. She raised her chin and, with the confidence she'd practiced in the mirror that morning, she answered. "I'd save Draco Malfoy's life." Snape choked on his tea. |
