A light fog swirls low to the ground, opaque and clinging to the damp blades of grass in the early morning dimness. Wilhelm isn’t sure of the time; it was 4am last he checked his phone before carefully slipping from bed and padding across the rich carpet to slide out the balcony doors. He’s been sitting in one of the upholstered iron lounge chairs for ten minutes or maybe two hours, thinking. 
Thinking. Worrying. Wondering. Second guessing every decision, ever choice he’s made up until this point.
