Thorns and Curses (смешанная)

Curses can haunt someone like a ghost. It was considered a shame to bear such a malediction in the family, as if their blood had become corrupted and dirty. The curse of the Greengrass family was a well-kept secret for a while. Everyone who came to possess knowledge of it were sworn to secrecy or hushed by any means necessary.
But secrets can’t be hidden forever.
Astoria Greengrass is the youngest member of the family, born into frail health. As she grew, it was discovered that running through her veins was the very corrupted blood that the family had come to fear. Vines of magic wrap around her insides and pierce her heart with thorns, seeming to tear away at her very lifespan.
But in a silly effort to treat her like a healthy child, her parents insist upon sending her to school for a magical education. Easy enough, one would think, if they didn’t have to live each day wondering if they were to drop dead the next. Still, Astoria has no choice but to brave the chaos that is Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Even if her older sister, Daphne, is there to give her support, Astoria wouldn’t be surprised if she dropped dead by the end of the year.
