When being a demon isn't just a job description but what you *are*, you have to do evil deeds and cause pain and distress, otherwise your demonic soul withers and you are harmed yourself. Crawly/Crowley finds out the hard way that he has to do evil. Ever the clever serpent, he works out a loophole to do so without harming humans like the other demons do. |
