| It is then, as his eyes travel to follow Michelangelo, that Leo spots the way the water is dripping thicker now, seeping through the concrete of the ceiling. There are signs he has carelessly neglected – the cracking on the stone, the groaning of pipes around them. His cheerful mood snaps. Something must reflect this in his expression; Mikey pauses, a few feet ahead of him, face twisting to co...>>ncern. “Leo –“ he begins, but is interrupted when everything shudders. Rubble drizzles, then throws itself upon them as the roof collapses under the strain of the water pipes. For a moment, Leonardo’s eyes meet his youngest brother’s and see the terror flash inside them. He barely has time to take another breath before the world caves in, and everything goes black. ~ While the brothers are out exploring a new sewer system, the whole thing collapses. With no way to get out and separated from each other, they all face their own struggles, injuries and fears as they fight to survive and find each other. TLDR: a sewer caves in. Leonardo and his brothers are trapped because I like angst. |

| Michelangelo lives fast. It brings a thrill to his vibrant soul, dancing between events teasingly, daring time to swoop him through event after event, day after day. All with the ease of a well-rehearsed dance, Michelangelo will leap and bound towards anything new, anything that skipped his heart a few beats too fast with little thought or control. At least, he had done. All of a sudden, h...>>e and his family are thrust 100 years into the future, exposed and under the sunlight for the first time in their lives. His skin itches, blaring sounds and dizzying colours all mercilessly bombarding him before he can even speak, or question what the hell just happened. ~ Mikey usually loves the fast paced lifestyle but finds himself struggling to keep up with all the changes the future brings. The future isn’t as bright as he dreamt it would be, and he struggles to adjust where his brothers thrive. He misses home, and everything they left behind. TLDR: Mikey misses the past. Not wanting to ruin it for any one else, he keeps these feelings to himself until they become self destructive. |

| No one comes. No one swoops in at the last second, nor does he manage to break the cuffs at the perfect moment. Instead, there is a collective shriek from the beasts below him as they all lunge forward in a hungered wave, their curled claws scraping against his scales and hideous jaws dripping with froth and drool. Heart racing, Michelangelo hisses at the rodents. However, his warning is ignor...>>ed by their destructive hunger. The hiss cuts off into a yelp when the first rat bites down on the exposed area between his skin and his shell, its grimy paws digging the pink flesh underneath away. - What if, in the episode I, Monster, Mikey didn’t get out of the restraints in time? What if he was left, helpless against hoards of rats with no one to help? TLDR: Mikey gets attacked by rats. It doesn’t end well. What can I say, I’m in a horror mood. (Title might change) |

| He is mourning the loss of someone he never knew, doesn’t know, but it hurts all the same. He thinks back to the nunchucks, and the orange tape wrapped around them. The comic books hidden under the couch. The extra plate that he sets up everyday, has been for the past three weeks. The gap in their formation. Missing, missing, missing, his mind chants, but he can’t know what. He’s lost, and can...>>’t remember why. ~ There have always been four of them - Donatello, Raphael, himself and his father. Or at least, that’s what Leonardo had thought. But something is missing. They are mourning the loss of another they have never even known. They are lost. But why? TLDR: a curse makes everyone forget Michelangelo. Leonardo knows there’s something missing, but he doesn’t know why. |

| “You’re going to be fine, I promise it!” Donnie crumbles, laying Mikey back down on his lap as he bends over him. He doesn’t let Mikey finish his farewell because it’s not. He’s going to be fine, as soon as help arrives they can go back and treat his injuries, then Donnie can make him the coolest robot arm anyone has ever dreamed – But Michelangelo knows the truth. Donatello, in denial, still ...>>knows the truth. Only one is going to walk away from this rooftop tonight, leaving behind the last spot of sun in the storm above them. ~ Donatello vowed that the future he had seen would never occur. He wouldn’t let it. But he’s failed. He’s failed, because Mikey is bleeding out beneath him, his arm severed under a stormy sky. And no help is coming in time. TLDR: Perhaps the future will not repeat itself, but it can rhyme. How Mikey, despite Donatello’s efforts, loses his arm in the cannon timeline. |

| The darkened woods around him suddenly burst open in dizzying white lights. Michelangelo is exposed to their glare, chasing away the shadows he has been taught to rely on so much. “There! I see it!” With a cry, Michelangelo tries to pull back into the safety of the night’s shadows. It proves to be an impossible task when humans are beginning to circle around him with their flashlights and ...>>guns all pointing towards him. Get away. Hide. Childishly, he wishes for his brothers. For Raph’s solid frame to hide behind. For Donnie’s reassuring voice of reason grounding him. For Leo’s confidence to lean on like a pillar in the sea, stopping him from getting pulled under by the waves that threaten to drown him. Terror sweeps over him, because he is alone. ~ What starts out as a late night adventure in the woods beside the farmhouse turns deadly when a group of hunters catch Mikey off guard. Alone and wounded, Mikey struggles to find his way to safety. TLDR: Mikey is chased by a group of hunters with no way to contact his brothers. |
