| “I’m gonna need you to keep him still,” he’s instructing him sternly. Bullets shower over the top of the ditch, landing wetly into the soft mud that surrounds them. Leo pretends not to flinch. “I’m going to cut below the elbow. If he moves and I miss my mark, I don’t want to have to amputate any further up. That’ll… that’ll be harder.” He swallows thickly, everything in his mouth tasting like bloo...>>d, bile and ash. “He’s gonna go into shock,” Leo adds, voice only wavering slightly as he tightens the belt a notch more, all the red hot broken skin below it jumping at the touch. “So just keep him focused, alright? Keep him focused and awake.” Raph is pale, jaw slightly open and his eyes bearing an impossible amount of grief already as he sandwiches his brothers face between his hand, swallows a brave little mouthful of air and tells him, “Mike. Mike, kiddo. This is gonna hurt a little but,” his voice shakes. Rain pelts down hard around them, fat little droplets bouncing off his shell like small pebbles. “But you gotta keep your eyes on me, ‘kay?” He squishes his face tightly, his eyes shaking uselessly in his skull like a pair of marbles. “Just keep your eyes on me, Mikey.” |

| It is then, as his eyes travel to follow Michelangelo, that Leo spots the way the water is dripping thicker now, seeping through the concrete of the ceiling. There are signs he has carelessly neglected – the cracking on the stone, the groaning of pipes around them. His cheerful mood snaps. Something must reflect this in his expression; Mikey pauses, a few feet ahead of him, face twisting to co...>>ncern. “Leo –“ he begins, but is interrupted when everything shudders. Rubble drizzles, then throws itself upon them as the roof collapses under the strain of the water pipes. For a moment, Leonardo’s eyes meet his youngest brother’s and see the terror flash inside them. He barely has time to take another breath before the world caves in, and everything goes black. ~ While the brothers are out exploring a new sewer system, the whole thing collapses. With no way to get out and separated from each other, they all face their own struggles, injuries and fears as they fight to survive and find each other. TLDR: a sewer caves in. Leonardo and his brothers are trapped because I like angst. |

That wasn’t the point. He balls his fists tight, pressing his knuckles firmly into his thighs. When he looks at his brother lying there motionless on the cot, his brain does not hesitate to supply him with the horror of last night. Far more frightening than any late night horror movies they watched as kids. “It’s more than that, master,” Donnie tries to gently explain, quelling the growing frustration that bubbles up involuntarily inside of him. “It’s going to take a long time for him to heal. Leo’s crippling self-esteem and separation anxiety Ft. Donnie being too tired and stressed to stay in character Ft. Raph being depressed but too dumb to realise Ft. Mikey slowly chipping away at his sanity until the constant arguments of the past few years cause him to snap. The future isn’t as bright as he dreamt it would be, and he struggles to adjust where his brothers thrive. He misses home, and everything they left behind. TLDR: Mikey misses the past. Heart racing, Michelangelo hisses at the rodents. However, his warning is ignor...>>ed by their destructive hunger. The hiss cuts off into a yelp when the first rat bites down on the exposed area between his skin and his shell, its grimy paws digging the pink flesh underneath away. - What if, in the episode I, Monster, Mikey didn’t get out of the restraints in time? What if he was left, helpless against hoards of rats with no one to help? TLDR: Mikey gets attacked by rats. It doesn’t end well. What can I say, I’m in a horror mood. (Title might change) |

Or at least, that’s what Leonardo had thought. But something is missing. They are mourning the loss of another they have never even known. They are lost. But why?
