But his eyes are still trained on her teenage houseguests, so she supposes they have to actually talk about it now. He looks back at her, with an expression that’s hard to read. She isn’t prepared to give him the satisfaction of saying she knows exactly what he’s trying to say. Instead, she turns away and continues to scrub residue out of a coffee mug. |
