Russian women served in all-female units with the so-called partisan bands, or individually as gunners in the artillery, paradropped spies, medical corps or in the rear auxillary services. They were political fanatics, filled with hate for every opponent, cruel and incorruptible. The women were entusiastic communists, and dangerous.
