Adjusting to the Climate

Watson's first autumn after he moves into Baker Street. The weather getting colder and damper and getting in the way of his newfound interest in helping Holmes on cases because it's affecting his health/wounds. (Any 'verse you like!) How long does it take Holmes to notice that Watson is playing the noble Stoic? (And what does he do once he has noticed?) Derp, not long. :D
