After the wolf attack Navarre asks Philippe to relay a message to Isabeau, but at the last moment he holds back. Hearing of her lover's hesitancy Isabeau asks Philippe to carry a message to Navarre in turn. However the message is a kiss. Suddenly Philippe is drawn into the emotional maelstrom that surrounds the two star-crossed lovers.
