Hermione traveled to 1943 after a curse hit her timeturner.
Wanting to finalize her education at Hogwarts she ended in the same year as Tom Riddle -Who unluckily for her decided to open the Chamber one more time, petrifying another kid and closing the school for three month.
Now the two of them have to live in Wools Orphanage.
