What if Astarion didn’t end up on the Nautiloid, but one of his siblings did instead?
Tav and their party all come to take down Cazador, with the intent of stopping the ritual to rescue Dalyria, and Astarion is among the spawn who were freed.
After the fighting ends and Tav’s party defeats the Netherbrain, Dalyria convinces some of them to help her look for her siblings. Tav finds Astarion working in the Sharess’ Caress and between shifts at the brothel Astarion helps them in the search. Tav is very quickly smitten, while the others are sceptical, but Astarion's help with locating the other spawn is too valuable not to add him to their ranks. He continues to sell sex for his income and works through his feelings about transactional sex, especially in light of his developing feelings for Tav, as the siblings seek a cure for their vampirism.
For once, Astarion is the one to be seduced.
