Azula has never been stupid. Her wits sharper than any blade, spear, or even those dumb fans those Kyoshi Warriors were so fond of.
But try as she might, she has never truly understood love.
When she was younger she used to wonder. She would squint up at sun, begging Agni for an answer. And when silence followed, she would stay up at night, staring at the starry sky. Because if the sun could not answer then maybe the moon could.
She receives answers from neither.
She is 8 when she decides she does not care anymore. She might not understand love. But at the very least, she thinks she knows what it feels like.
