When Captain Benson fails to show up for work, and Noah Benson is absent from school without explanation, friends and colleagues mobilize to find them.
This is a Barson-ish* tale, but one still trying to fit into canon (as of early in season 26), so some repair of the Benson/Barba estrangement is of course necessary before the story gets fully underway. When I wrote my first Barson fic a couple of months ago, I deliberately avoided reading others in that ship so that I wouldn't be accidentally influenced. But now I've read a bunch of them (there's a lot of daaaaammmnnn good writers in this fanverse), and have decided to be a little different from how many of us (including me) have handled the reconciliation. Olivia is not going to apologize in this one for feeling what she feels. Explain, maybe. Apologize? No.
