There was no one else, the rest of the hall completely empty.
Sigyn’s chest was starting to feel very hollow. Each breath was harder and harder to take in.
“Come forward, my dear.” The Queen said, her voice was kind but it still echoed off the walls with authority. Sigyn found herself taking steps closer. She didn’t know how she was doing it, because honestly she felt like collapsing. Her eyes were glued on the man standing at the bottom of the steps.
He was…nothing like she had ever imagined.

Sigyn is the daughter of a General from Vanaheim. In an attempts to stop a war before it starts, a marriage between the Prince of Hel and (since the King bares no daughters) Sigyn. She's anxious to say the least, she's grown up hearing stories of his kind, and she can't tell the fables from the truth.
This is the beginning of their journey together, and the start of a long story
