Tony can't sleep because of nightmares after the New York-incident.
Loki doesn't want to sleep because of things that are yet to come.
Stripped of his powers, the god of mischief is sent to earth and found by Tony who gives him shelter for reasons he doesn't understand himself - because honestly, throwing him out of a window hasn't earned Loki sympathy points, really. It could be fine anyway if there wasn't the promise The Other had given Loki before...
