It's raining when she shows up. The type of summer rain that leaves behind a layer of fog rising from the pavement. She stands there, at his back door soaking wet. Her clothes are plastered against her skin, her hair is dripping little droplets down onto the jacket she’s wearing, which – obviously is doing absolutely nothing to keep her dry.

Вторые выходные проводим на даче. Сколько радости доставляют проклюнувшиеся тюльпаны или перекличка гусей в клине, летящем над домом. Тогда бросаешь грабли и смотришь вверх, в синее-синее небо, ищешь глазами птичью галочку. И переполняет почти детский восторг, потому что весна, потому что выжили, потому что хочется вот таких простых радостей в моменте.
А ещё рядом с дачей есть в овраге единственный куст вербы.
Бабушка моего мужа приговаривала: "Верба хлёст, бей до слёз".
