Sidious was not yet sure what he wanted from Luke, but for now he was content to pry and puncture and dissect the boy’s mind, to see not only what he could discover but to also see what he could corrupt. |

As his faith in the Code crumbles, so does his ability to trust his own mind. “What’s happened to us?” Anakin whispered as though reading Obi-Wan’s mind. “Everything seems to be broken.” “I know,” Kenobi commiserated. “The world is coming apart at the seams.” He pulled back, placing his hands on Anakin’s shoulders, holding him at arms length. “But sometimes the world has to burn in order for something new to grow. Just try not to lose sight of who you are.” We go some weird, dark places here. Not as violent as Part 1 but definitely full of angst and emotional torment. |
