He clutched his wrist to his chest, cradling it like it could break at any given second. It had been a month since he took the Dark Mark. A month of pain, waking up sobbing and begging for it to stop. The pain had not relented by a fraction, if anything it had become worse. It spoke to him too. He didn’t think that was normal. His father had not mentioned the whispers that haunted his own mind. Draco. The only thing it had uttered was his name. At first he thought he had gone mad. After all, he had been deteriorating over the past few years. He came to the conclusion that it was the Dark Mark speaking to him following the stab of pain he felt following the whisper of his name.
