In one universe Princess Ursa gave birth first to a boy, Prince Zuko and two years later to Princess Azula. One was a late bloomer and the other was a prodigy, the greatest firebender of her generation. That is not that universe. Princess Ursa first suffered a miscarriage and two years later she gave birth to twins – Zuko and Azula. Both of them possessed a spark and a bond no one could sever. Even years later as they continued to suffer in silence due to their parents abuse and neglect, that bond never broke. Even if as teenagers they broke themselves and became broken in return.
