Tim's long done with the report, but he keeps putting off leaving. He isn't sure what he's waiting for. His fingers haven't moved in a long time, and his mind stutters and glitches oddly, tripping over capitalism and greed and chocolate cupcakes and cheeks eaten away by fish in the harbor. Finally, near sunrise, Bruce turns toward him, and everything goes still and silent, like something buried in the tender place beneath Tim's rib cage is holding its breath.

I'm Always Fine (смешанная)1 18.06.2026

The footage review uncovered everything — including what Bruce did to Tim on his sixteenth birthday. Ten days. A hologram of Alfred dying. Ten days of Tim convinced one of his siblings would destroy the world, investigating everyone he loved, and never once suspecting Bruce. Because Bruce was the floor. Because Tim always trusted Bruce more than anyone. Bruce forgot it happened. Two ye...>>ars of therapy, twice a week, and it didn't come up. Because Tim was fine. Tim is always fine. Tim picks up on the fifteenth buzz. He says the thing he's never said out loud. He hangs up. Bernard holds on. In the dark, Tim Drake — twenty-one years old, knowing he doesn't have to go back, knowing his siblings aren't contingent on Bruce anymore — tries to figure out whether he keeps going to Thursday dinners because he's right about Bruce or because he's still sixteen and can't stop going back. He doesn't figure it out tonight.

Once upon a time, Tim Drake was Robin. And he was 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥. But he wasn't chosen. And that's fine, okay? It was a delicate situation, he understood that then and he understands it now. He doesn't hold it against Bruce, or Dick, or anyone after him who benefited from the Batman that he fixed. It's just, he hadn't realized how many things he lost out on while fixing Batman. The ice cream just seems to be the final straw.

Tim Drake is a planner. He's clever, he's detail oriented, and he always follows through. He became Robin to help Batman heal, so when a better way to do that presents itself, Tim plans. Tim's first few plans don't exactly work out like he'd hoped, but that's okay. He planned for that too.

"Odysseus was clever, but his vanity and ego would have killed him long before his return home if not for his wife.” “Penelope?” Tim asked. “Exactly, child, Penelope," his nanny smiled. "The men of Ancient Greece would have you believe that she was idle, waiting for her husband to come home and solve her problems, but this is far from the truth. For routine and ritual are not powerless t...>>hings. In pouring her love for her son and husband into her weaving, she called out to the goddesses Hestia and Hera. Despite never lifting a finger in violence herself, Penelope saved her family.” -- Tim finds that there are more ways to protect the Bats than just Robin. A little magic never hurt anyone, after all.

Tim goes to Titans Tower that day on Bruce's orders, to get away from Gotham and the Red Hood. Jason goes to Titans Tower that day of his own volition, to get to Robin. Neither of them expect their trip to San Francisco to end the way it does. *** “This is because he won’t kill the Joker?” Tim’s voice is a hoarse whisper, so soft he’s not even sure Jason heard him. Tim lifts hi...>>s head, a steely determination in his eyes, and glares straight down the barrel of the gun. Suddenly, he’s struck by the petty, vindictive urge to just be mean, and if he’s going to die anyway, he may as well give in. “You’re no better than he is.” He spits out, jaw clenched. For the umpteenth time that night, there’s a fresh bloom of pain on Tim’s body, this time across his cheekbone as Jason’s gun comes down hard against it. “Don’t you dare compare me to Batman.” There’s fury in Jason’s voice, and satisfaction curls in Tim’s gut. “I’m not.”

Gotham is a lawless land. Crime and corruption run rampant on the streets, even despite the best efforts of Batman and Robin. However, there is one rule that every Gothamite knows to be true. However bad you think it is right now, it can, and will, get worse. Tim is getting a first hand look at that rule right now as he finds himself staring down the barrel of Red Hood's gun. The men who had been chasing him crown the entrance to the alley, and Tim can feel their hungry stares on his back. One day, he's going to learn how to listen when Bruce says to stay home.

Jason, in a Lazarus pit-induced rage, had committed an unspeakable act. One that Tim had silently suffered the consequences of until they’d learned about it. Nearly a year after the fact. Bruce thought of the pup that had Tim’s eyes and Jason’s sweet curls and wondered how on Earth he had let them all down so horribly.

But...Jason was angry. Angrier then he'd ever seen any of his family members, even when he dyed Wednesday's hair pink. A deep, scorching anger that almost made him sweat. Jason was alive, and he was absolutely livid. The joy and familiarity started to dull, as Tim started to understand just how serious this situation was, and Jason kicked him through a door to the Hallway of Fallen Titans. His voice was thick with all sorts of emotions as he knocked over Donna's statue, and this wasn't all fun in games. Well, kind of. It kind of was, for Tim, but it wasn't for Jason at all.
