The Babylon 5 reboot is confirmed to be spared from the wave of cancellations at The CW, clarifying its status during a time of uncertainty.

One show is spared from The CW's wave of cancellations, at least for the moment. Under the new leadership of Nexstar, which acquired a 75% stake in The CW in October 2022, the young adult-focused channel has gone through personnel and programming changes to reach profitability and broaden its audience. In the process, the network has shifted from its brand of teen dramas and favored low-cost series from outside the U.S. and sports content like golf. Several CW originals have been cancelled as a result. Even badly performing acquired programs aren't safe, as the network recently pulled an Australian soap from the schedule after just four episodes.
