Five Months Until Summer

She's tried three times over holiday break and it hasn't worked out. Now she has a little more than five months until summer when she can try again.

It can't be Ron. Even if were someone she was less close to, she can't shag someone she knows, someone she's known since they were all eleven, and have it get around the school. How ridiculous.

She straightens her skirt and wraps her tie around her neck to begin tying it before they get too close to Hogsmeade. Her fingers fumble with it absently when she bounces right off a hard chest. Ice blue eyes narrow down at her.

She tries to squeeze by him and maybe she imagines it, but he seems to hesitate a fraction of a second.

She ducks under his arm instead and continues on towards her own carriage, wondering why her pulse sped up, and why it won't slow back down now that she's noticed it.
