“How can they take away only one of us?” Harley asked quietly.

“They’re claiming emotional abuse. And they said they have a statement from Peter backing that up.” Pepper answered, her voice unusually quiet. Her eyes were alight with malice.

Harley took a shaky breath, and asked the question everyone was wondering. “Why Peter?”

Tony shook his head and leaned heavily against the desk. “I don’t know.” He whispered.
