Things go terribly wrong and Stephen gets sucked into an alternate timeline and needs an extraordinary amount of magic to open a portal to create a way back home. To add to his woe Stephen ultimately has no choice but to turn to an unlikely source of support. Thor’s dead brother, the notorious Loki, happens to be alive and kicking in this timeline. Not only is Loki the vivid image of a person doing incredibly well, no, he has also succeeded in accumulating immense power by calling the Tesseract his own. |

| It is a good thing that people don't know when they die. Everybody would go crazy otherwise. Steve didn't know when he was going to die, but thanks to some dark magic he knew how. Love. The cause of Steve Rogers' death was going to be love. Tony thought that Steve was pretty content with that. What a fitting death for Captain America. Dying for love. The one word that told Tony how he was going to die wasn't nearly as romantic. It was scaring the hell out of him. |

But if we can't find a way to live with that, next time... maybe nobody gets saved.” At the end of the day Steve did save everybody. He saved Bucky from Tony, his team from the government, the world from the Sokovia Accords. Some time would probably have to pass for things to blow over, and then every...>>thing would go back to normal. Couple of days. Tops. After all Team Cap saved everybody, showing the world how dangerous the accords were, how easily they could be abused. Even their supporters had to come to their senses now. Yet five days after Siberia nobody feels safe. Things don’t calm down and suddenly it’s again Steve against the rest of the world. Only now it’s not some international organisation or government but the people. The ones he had saved. Slowly Captain America must realize that they don’t feel saved but angry, hurt and scared. The people demand justice for those who were really trying to save them and paid the price for it. |

| After faking his death in the Dark World Loki is free to do what he wants. Instead of leaving everything behind Loki is driven by his thirst for revenge and won't find peace before he destroyed every single one of the Avengers. This time though he won't use violence, but the weapons of the God of Mischief: trickery, deceit and illusion. Loki decides to befriend the Avengers. However they won't know it's him.
