"Very well," the man says. "I will return shortly."
That doesn't sound good. The Talon's stomach flutters a little in a sick way. Did the man not like its answer? Is he going to retrieve…tools to punish the Talon with? -- -- Talon has been captured. |

| Gotham is a lawless land. Crime and corruption run rampant on the streets, even despite the best efforts of Batman and Robin. However, there is one rule that every Gothamite knows to be true. However bad you think it is right now, it can, and will, get worse. Tim is getting a first hand look at that rule right now as he finds himself staring down the barrel of Red Hood's gun. The men who had been chasing him crown the entrance to the alley, and Tim can feel their hungry stares on his back. One day, he's going to learn how to listen when Bruce says to stay home. |

who says birthday wishes don't come true? (джен)1 05.06.2023

|

| As far as birthdays go, Tim's 15th birthday ranks pretty high on his list, top three at least. Sure his parents skipped out last minute and Red Hood shot and tried to kill him, but that first part is normal and that second part means that Tim got to hang out with Jason Todd for his birthday. Maybe he should reevaluate his rankings, because hanging out with his childhood hero definitely boosts this birthday to top two, and it's not two. |

| "Robin, leave him." The wolf gave him an unimpressed look, and then he proceeded to do what he did, holding down the kid he'd found hiding in the alley. The boy wasn't complaining, but he was watching Batman waiting for him to explain why a wolf had decided he was his cub. Honestly, Bruce didn't know either. "Robin…" His son continued to ignore him, licking a scratch on th...>>e kid's forehead that he hadn't noticed before. "He's not your puppy, Robin. You can't keep him." The wolf gave him a look as if to say watch me old man , and Bruce felt his headache increase. He really hated magic. |

| “You’re crying.” That’s the Red Hood, standing in the doorway into the hall, a hulking figure filling the frame, head tilted in question and hands on a gun that’s pointed to the floor. He looks uncertain, head tilted to the side like a goddamn bird. “What?” Tim asks, because Tim is confused– he knows this is Jason Todd, kinda hard to miss with the red helmet and when the dude tried to bl...>>ow up Dick and Bruce about a week earlier in the same outfit, but what the actual fuck is he doing in San Francisco– “You’re crying.” Red Hood repeats, forgoing a one handed grip on his weapon to gesture to his– well– his everything. Tim moves his hand up to his cheeks because he is definitely not crying over something as stupid as his dinn– Huh. Okay. Maybe he is. ✦✦✦ Tim and Jason make food, drink and talk about parents. Jason was meant to kill this kid, but plans have a way of being derailed. |

| Your soulmates are with you, your whole life. Figuring out how to actually be there for them is the tricky part. -- The day Barbara went out as Batgirl for the first time, Dick and Book nearly pushed her out the window and Camera made an aborted attempt to pull her back, stopping themselves at the last possible moment from grabbing her shoulder. Dick didn’t let himself wonder why. Camera was probably just worried for her, the way they had been with Dick. |

Bruce doesn’t know what’s wrong with his child, but he’s pretty sure kids aren’t meant to work like this.
From the day he had looked up into the tops of the circus tent and saw a frightened mirror image of a boy who had just experienced the worst day of his life, Bruce had instantly gone into emergency mode. The Gotham PD had wanted to pass the boy off into the ca...>>re of the circus. The circus had mumbled underneath their breaths about superstitions, about not having a boy like that with them, about not being able to handle something like Dick. So GCPD, not knowing what to do, had started talking about one of the handful of overburdened boy homes that handles a majority of Gotham’s unlucky orphans. All the while, the camera lights flash bright and loud, wanting to know everything. Bruce couldn’t let that happen. Not then, not ever again. -🦇- Bruce is trying his best to protect the city that he loves. He doesn't know how exactly his Robins came to be- they're not fully human, not even at all. All he knows is that he wants to keep them safe. |

| Robin is magic. Robin has always been magic. This is more literal than some might imagine. -- Bruce bans metas and magic from Gotham, whenever he can, but if he’s aware of the irony in enforcing this rule with Robin at his side, he never comments on it. As a child, Dick is sure that he knows because Batman Knows Everything.
